Is it me, or is it Him?
Sounds like a crazy question, but walking closely with Him I ask this sometimes! Then there are times when I’m sure it’s Him. Recently I felt Him say “wait Monique”. Or the one I hear most often, “HUSH Monique!” (that one I really struggle with). Sometimes He speaks a loved one’s name to me. Then sometimes he says YES! I kick myself when I realize how long it took me to listen! What was I thinking? The honest answer is I was thinking of ME! ME! ME! ME! Following Him takes the focus off me and puts it on Him! I struggle with this the most. I get caught up in so many things which usually involve my feelings… and there I am back to ME! So He patiently waits. He counts my tears. He never leaves, He gently guides me back to where I need to be and always forgives me. For some this is a “crazy Jesus lady” post and that’s fine if that’s what you think. But after I’ve had a rough go of it and things seem to just keep going down-hill, He shows me something like this sunset! I can feel Him say “Monique LOOK UP! I’m here, I’ve never left you! You know where your focus belongs."

So I know He will always draw me back in, right where I should be. How anyone can look at this picture and doubt there is a God, I will never know. This is not a coincidence. This picture is not edited at all and it was taken with my cell phone.
Maybe you saw this amazing sunset last night. It was for you too ya know? I'd love to know what He is telling you. This sunset is my Heavenly Father telling me He is there and He loves me, even on my selfish days. My life must not be about me, it must be about HIM!
No matter what He is trying to say to us, we can always be sure at the end of the day He wants us to know, "I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you. Again I will build you, and you shall be rebuilt..." Jeremiah 31:3.
